Congratulations to Col Dickenson who regained the Marske Champs trophy with a weight of 22lb-05oz – making it back-to back wins in the spring event – on a tough day for most on a very clear reservoir.
In a match where bites were at a premium Col edged ahead of the field with two method feeder caught carp (11lb-11oz & 10lb-10oz) from peg 14. An 18lb-02oz carp caught early in the match on pellet waggler tactics from peg 7 by Tommy Broadwell (pictured below landing the fish) was good enough for second place with Phil Vietch next door on peg 6 making third in the frame with a 13lb-07lb carp on the method.

On a disappointing note – the match organiser and participants collected up a carrier bag full of discarded rubbish including several cans of redbull that had been taken down the back of the dam wall and thrown over the fence – It honestly would have taken less effort for whoever disposed of the cans to take them home! LEAVE LITTER – LEAVE THE CLUB. Always take your litter away with you.
