As agreed at the last M.A.C. AGM the Committee aims to communicate club news and points of interest discussed at our meetings to members in a monthly roundup. The Committee reconvened at the end of January for the first meeting of 2023, key points included:
- £1000 funding granted by the Angling Trust’s ‘Get Fishing’ campaign to help with the running of junior coaching sessions later in the year.
- Remedial work on Hutton Rudby ponds to be carried out in May. Dates for this and any potential closure of the venue will be communicated via the club website and Facebook group.
- Plans are in place to start a maintenance programme on the pegs at Marske Reservoir.
- Cormorant issues are being dealt with at both Hutton Rudby & Marske reservoir as per our current licences and visual/audio deterrents are also being investigated.
- Lockwood Beck reservoir has received a stocking of coarse fish from the Environment Agency – Full story on the club website – READ MORE
- John Burton co-opted onto Committee to serve as Treasurer.
- Memberships can still be renewed at Anglers Choice, Cleveland Angling, Keith Sports or by post. The membership renewal period closes at the end of March and members are reminded they must not fish club waters until their membership has been renewed.

Reminders
- Members are reminded not to park on the land adjacent to the access gate at Hutton rudby ponds – including to unload tackle – This land is private land and is also on a blind corner where oncoming drivers travelling at speed may not see a vehicle backing out.
- To help protect club waters & fish stocks from the spread of invasive species and viruses such as Koi herpesvirus (KHV) members are asked to make sure all nets, slings and mats are clean and dry and are left out in the daylight on the bank prior to fishing.
- And Finally!… Your catch reports and catch shots are always welcome on the club private facebook group HERE and we wish you tight lines for the year ahead!
