Many thanks to the members of the club who took part in the spring work party at Hutton Rudby Ponds on Sunday 12th March organised by M.A.C. Fisheries Officer, Dale Conway – due to the strong turnout of volunteers plenty of general maintenance and upkeep work was completed including: a spring clean of the storage container and tools, inspection and trimming back of vegetation and branches overhanging the otter fence, life rings roped up and replaced, potential snags and hazards removed from the banks and island and the evergreen hedge between the ponds was cut back.
Much of this work comes in preparation for major remedial works taking place at the ponds during May and members are reminded that this work is scheduled to take place on the week beginning Monday 22nd May when the ponds and access will be closed to members.
